One of the main scopes for institutions dedicated to preparing professionals in health is to increase their bioethics profile. To achieve this scope, these institutions have included lessons in bioethics into their study plans. Another way to increase the profile of the students, as the authors of this article propose, is creating bioethics seeds through a bioethics interest diagnostic on the students' preferences in their first year of the Justo Sierra University using a particular clinical case. The results found indicated that students show more interest in learning the physiopathology, diagnostics, and therapy of the pathologies than bioethics. The authors concluded that in order to increase this profile, the students are encouraged to discuss and reflect on bioethical situations that help them to construct their own opinion and decisions.
Incrementar el perfil bioético es uno de los objetivos principales que persiguen todas las instituciones dedicadas a la formación de profesionistas de salud. Para lograr esto se han creado varias estrategias de aprendizaje, como es el insertar la materia de Bioética en los currículos. Una estrategia más que se propone en este artículo es crear semilleros de bioética a través de un diagnóstico del interés hacia esta materia que muestran los estudiantes de primer año de la Escuela de Medicina de la Universidad Justo Sierra, utilizando como instrumento de medición la revisión de un caso clínico. Los resultados que se encontraron fue que los estudiantes presentan mayor interés en aprender la fisiopatología, diagnóstico y terapéutica de las patologías, reflejando un bajo interés por la bioética. En conclusión, para incrementar el perfil bioético de estudiantes en los ciclos básicos de sus estudios, es necesario fomentar la discusión y la reflexión de situaciones bioéticas que les permitan construirse una postura y toma de decisiones.
