Declaración de posición conjunta. Uso de isotretinoína en acné común
Resumen
La isotretinoína es un medicamento autorizado desde 1982 para el tratamiento del acné quístico severo y ha sido empleada en otras patologías y condiciones en diferentes dosis y esquemas, lo que sigue ocasionando controversias en nuestro país y en el resto del mundo, especialmente en el aspecto de seguridad. Es de categoría X en el embarazo y durante su administración se recomienda el monitoreo de lípidos y de la función hepática, entre otras medidas. El objetivo de este consenso es dar a conocer a la comunidad médica la postura acerca de los usos e indicaciones de la isotretinoína, de un grupo de dermatólogos mexicanos expertos en el uso de este fármaco.
