El síndrome del cascanueces es causado por la compresión de la vena renal entre la aorta y la arteria mesentérica superior, lo cual provoca hipertensión de la vena renal y hematuria unilateral. Se reporta un caso típico de síndrome del cascanueces en un hombre de 18 años y se revisa la literatura para explicar esta patología.
