Comments on the article “Systemic loxoscelism presented in a pregnant patient”

In connection with a comment about the article "Systemic loxoscelism presented in a pregnant woman" (Diaz de Leon-Ponce MA. Comentarios al artículo “Loxoscelismo sistémico en una mujer embarazada”. Rev Med Inst Mex Seguro Soc. 2014;52(4):367-8), twice Dr. Ernesto Mácatela Ruiz (p. 367), and Dr. Mácatela (p. 368) is mentioned; however, his first surname is Macotela.

Also, in this regard, while at it I make another comment on the same article.¹ The authors say:  “the first case is presented here in the medical literature of a pregnant woman with loxoscelism ..." (p. 98). However, there seem to be six cases of loxoscelism and pregnancy previously reported in the medical literature.^2,3
