Resumen
La enfermedad del coronavirus del 2019 (COVID-19) continúa afectando a las personas a lo largo del planeta debido a su alta tasa de contagio. Los pacientes afectados por la enfermedad que reciben tratamientos inmunosupresores corren el riesgo de desarrollar los aspectos más graves de la COVID-19. Entonces, ¿cómo afecta este nuevo coronavirus a los pacientes oncológicos pediátricos que están constantemente inmunosuprimidos? ¿Cómo es posible disminuir el riesgo de contagio en los departamentos de oncología y hematología? Realizamos una síntesis de un par de artículos importantes sobre el tema.
Abstract
Coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) continues to affect people throughout the planet due to its high contagion rate. Patients affected by the disease who received immunosuppressive treatments are at risk of developing the most serious aspects of COVID-19. So how does this new coronavirus affect pediatric cancer patients who are constantly immunosuppressed? How is it possible to reduce the risk of contagion in the oncology and hematology departments? We synthesized a couple of important articles on the subject.
