Abstract
The measurement of the glomerular filtration shows the degree of the functional qualities and the proficiency of the renal system. Despite of new technologies, at present the best accepted technique for measuring the glomerular filtration in most countries, is the clearance of creatinine in 24 hour urine. The clearance of creatinine has the advantage that it is reliable, easy to reproduce, without technical limitations and low cost.
