A New Editor's View Towards the Future

Abstract

Starting with the first issue of 2008, I will have the pleasure of taking over the editorial responsibility of Revista Médica  del Instituto Mexicano del Seguro Social. It is an honor and a challenge to become Editor of the Revista Medica del Instituto Mexicano del Seguro Social. The mission of the journal is: to publish high-quality original papers that report important findings on disease from general practice of medicine. As people cannot listen until they have heard the message, knowledge cannot popularize until it was published. One responsibility of the Editorial board is to transmit the message and led the paper’s authors be heard by reader, but transmission will be with objective, opportunity, in an easy way and with a quality peer review to assure valid knowledge. Papers will be published in the journal; they should be relevant to the quality of health care everywhere, in our country and others, in large hospitals and in the single doctor practices, in high tech care and in preventive services, in rural areas and in big cities.
