Abstract
The neutrophil-lymphocyte ratio (NLR) is an index used to assess the balance between the state of inflammation and the immune response as it is associated with the levels of proinflammatory cytokines. It is widely used as a prognostic and mortality biomarker in various infectious and oncological diseases, such as necrotizing fasciitis, which is one of the main severe infections of soft tissues and skin, the relevance of which lies in timely diagnosis and effective treatment.
